Are you a family member with questions or concerns about the adult guardianship system? Are you a provider who sees families struggle with guardianship? Do you have concerns with our current system?
The Alaska Court System has implemented a new program called WINGS to work with stakeholders to improve the adult guardianship system. WINGS is holding community forums for the public to offer their concerns, suggestions and questions. Who should attend? Forum is open to the public Family guardians & Individuals with guardians Service providers Guardianship professionals: Court Visitors, court staff and attorneys. There will be a brief presentation on guardianship and then working groups will discuss the issues such as: More education and support for guardians Alternatives to guardianship More options for guardians Easier to understand forms and instructions Better access to the court process
