Homer TRAILS November 2022

Calendar & Newsletter

Hello November Header

Woah, hey there's cold wind and snow!!! These first few days of cold are a hard adjustment and are having us reach for our big coats and hats. Looks like we will have some cold temperatures staying with us for a little while. Be careful out there with the ice and snow.

There is a lot happening this month in Homer. The town is buzzing with fun and exciting activities. Check out below what's coming up. The first events listed are TRAILS led activities followed by other events happening in town that you should know about. If anyone needs printed copies of any of the attachments, please come into our office and ask us for one or, call us and we'd be happy to read it to you.

Homer Community Fridge @ Homer Methodist Church on
Everyday except for Mondays (8 AM - 4 PM) from 24/7 for FREE

Do you need to find some food storage options? The Homer Free Fridge aims to provide free food to those who need it. It is located beside the Homer Community Food Pantry donation bin, at the Homer Methodist Church. The fridge is open to donations from the community, as long as the food is marked with the date the item was made and basic ingredients. The guidelines are simple: only donate what you would eat and take what you need. The fridge is open 24/7, (with exception of Mondays 8am-4pm, during regular food pantry hours) providing options to anyone in need of food. The concept was explored in a food preservation project made for the Homer Drawdown and is now supported in cooperation with the Homer Food Pantry and the United Methodist Church.
