POOPDECK PLATT COMMUNITY PARK TRAIL

This page, as well as the Poopdek Platt Community Trial are under construction.  The trail located in the heart of Homer is a cooperative project between the Kachemak Hearitage Land Trust,  The City of Homer, The Independent living Center and Homer Animal Friends.   This web page will be updated with information about the trail and include the same information that is on the trail welcome and interpretive signs.  The trial is designed to provide access to everyone regardless of ability.   We encourage all users to either view or listen to trail content here with the use of a screen reader.

Phase II construction on the trail will occur the week of August 24th 2020.

Poopdeck Platt community Park Trail is a day use area, open to the public from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Campfires, camping, and overnight parking are not allowed.

Please stay on the trail, keep dogs on leash and pick up and dispose of any pet waste, pack out what you bring in, and keep your distance from wildlife.

Please be sure to leave rocks, plants, and other natural objects as you find them.

Be considerate of other visitors.

Enjoy!
